New Schools and Germy Feet

E met his new teacher today. He said he's young, friendly and very nice. K was also impressed with him. The teacher spent the better part of an hour talking to E's former BD teacher, getting a crash course on "101 Things You've Always Wanted to Know About Childhood Mental Illness But Were Afraid to Ask". They have a para chosen for E, with whom E and K also met this morning. Everyone seems quite nice and more importantly, equipped to deal with my firstborn and his many issues. I hope it all works out and that there are no problems along the way.

E was impressed with the huge art room at his new school, as well as the cafeteria, which houses a full service salad bar, a dessert bar and a taco bar! Not to mention a daily choice of entree and side dishes. K said he's been in restaurants that weren't as stocked. When I was in school, you had two choices: take it or leave it. The utilitarian green trays had the following in its compartments:

~ horsemeat hamburger (this, of course was just a rumor, but we did notice the horse population dwindling shortly after the school was built)

~ limp, inedible mystery vegetable

~ canned, tasteless fruit

~ bread/dishsponge

~ warm milk

The only choices offered us, were A) risk death actually eating this crap or B) promptly scoop it directly into the garabge recepticle.

Kids today have it made!

It's rumored that in this week's US Weekly, there is a picture of Little Miss Br!tney, emerging from a gas station restroom, where she evidently was fulfilling a pressing gastrointestinal need. What's wrong with that, you ask??

SHE HAD NO SHOES ON HER FEET!!

*Full body shiver*

Using a gas station restroom in Los Angeles is a big enough gamble. Doing the "high hover" over a toilet for the length of time it takes to "do a doody" is risky enough. BUT WITH BARE FEET?

Girl has lost her mind.

On that happy note, I must depart you. There's a grocery list that cries to be made.
