Seven ay em wake up call

Ugh. K has got to have a talk with Cra!g. If you don't already know, Cra!g is the race driver whose car K crew-chiefs. He's a nice kid, I suppose, but he drives me insane. Lately, he's been driving me insane with his phone calls.

A couple of years ago, his constant calling was a problem. I told K to have Cra!g tone it down a bit - to only call once in awhile and between certain civilized hours. Well, he's gradually breaking the rules again. Last week, he called here at 6:45am. Fortunately, K was already up for the day and was able to grab the phone quickly, but it still woke me up.

Earlier this week, he called during American Idol. Big mistake. Big! He always seems to call when we're getting the kids ready for bed or sitting down to dinner.

This morning, he woke us up at 7:00am. Normally, at least one of us is up at that hour, but last night, we had a horrific night with a sick G, so had he not called, we might have been able to make up some of the sleep we lost.

I hate to sound bitchy or tell K when his friends can and can't call, but this is getting to be a big problem. Again. It's not just his poor timing, but the frequency of the calls. This week, K walked in the front door three nights with his cell phone plastered to his ear, with Cra!g on the other end. The kids run up to greet their Daddy and the first thing K has to do is silence them. Totally rude. How hard is it to say, "Well, I'm home and walking in the door now... talk to you later"

Just because Cra!g has no life doesn't mean the rest of us don't. K needs to grow a spine and lay the law down to this kid.

Bah...
