I'm here with my commentary, albeit a week or so late.

You may or may not have heard about the controversy surrounding Clay and his performance last week. It's rumored that Clay was asked by the producers of the show, at the last minute to change the arrangement of the song, "Starry, Starry Night", thus leading to the "gap" in his performance that was ultimately construed as a failure to remember the lyrics. I, as well as many others, feel this was a blatant attempt to allow Ruben to look superior to Clay.

Ruben has been hyped by the media from day one as the one to beat. Celebrities were asked their opinion as to who would win the competition, and all asked said, "Ruben". If anyone had expressed a desire for Clay to win, in certainly wasn't publicized.

I'm not sure why anyone would think Ruben to be more marketable than Clay. Nothing against Ruben, but he's not the brightest crayon in the box, especially in the personality department. His continual butchering of the English language is irritating and not becoming to the potential "American Idol" at all. I think Clay has the qualities needed, hands down.

People, if you're reading this and you're a fan of Clay at all, it's imperative that you VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE for CLAY and only CLAY for ENTIRE two hours this week!!! Please!! Your votes could make the difference between Clay winning and not! This is it ~ he won't have another chance to "come back".

For tips on voting, check this out.

Vote well and vote often, ClayMates!!
